Emergency medical response on public transit depends on the limited resources and space available on the vehicle, could impact a range of individuals, and is usually applied by completely inexperienced users, as there might be a long wait time before trained medical personnel arrive at the scene. Backboard Air is inclusive to all users, utilizes bulkhead seats to provide more space for attendants to give required medical attention, and prepares a comprehensive experience for the duration of the emergency. It stabilizes a patient experiencing cardiac arrest, seizure, stroke, head or neck injury, or loss of consciousness and provides a secure and comfortable place for the patient to lie.
