For years, forced-air convection blankets have been the standard means of warming for people with hypothermia or at risk of developing hypothermia. However, recent studies show that conductive warming is a more effective method when surface area coverage is maximized. Given these findings, my design seeks to provide superior hypothermia treatment/prevention by pressing heated, gel-infused foam against the back and front of the human body.
