The Recoveralytical smart sleeve system seeks to improve the stroke recovery process, by providing physical therapists an increased understanding of the efficacy of rehabilitation techniques through a data-driven approach. Additionally, the data collected can be used to help recoverees track their recovery progress and maintain a positive outlook through the extended recovery process. The intention of this project was to provide the tools necessary to individually tailor treatment approaches for the individual stroke patient, providing the most effective possible road to recovery. By improving the recovery process the recoveree can regain the greatest possible mobility, independence, and quality of life, without significantly increasing the cost of the treatments.
