Pent up and alone in her room, a mentally distressed young woman spirals into an emotional breakdown after burning her beloved focaccia to a crisp. With no one to confide in, she pulls out paper and pencil to tell her story. Our story. Becoming an adult is to face new hardships, handle more stress, and squeeze in whatever sleep you can. These past four years haven't been easy. Mental health hasn't been a priority for us because there's never been the time to just stop and think. For our capstone project, we wanted to make a short film to take back our time. "Those burnt leftovers. I hate them." is a cinematic representation of our personal experiences with joy, frustration, excitement, and deep depression over the years. We hope you can connect with our story, with or without the focaccia.
